The Big Green Bike Ride, which raises money for Friends of the Earth will start in London on Sunday 6 May 2012. It involves cycling for almost 500 miles through breathtaking scenery and arriving in Scotland's capital, Edinburgh, six days later.

The route will take you from the hustle and bustle of London through rolling countryside, around river estuaries and across stunning moorland. You'll visit historic cities and picturesque market towns as you wind your way north.
