King Lion Media Special Offer for Lost World Premiere
You are invited to attend the Premiere of Ibex Earth's 'The Lost World' - a 50-minute documentary about Mount Roraima, the South American plateau that inspired Arthur Conan Doyle to write his famous adventure novel of the same name, and most recently was accredited as the major influence behind Disney Pixar's 2009 animated blockbuster 'UP'.
Roraima is a towering sandstone plateau in the heart of the Guiana Highlands and has been left largely unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. It harbours unique animals, plants and ecosystems that occur no where else on the planet. Sadly Roraima is now under threat from unsustainable/unregulated tourism, the introduction of non-endemic species and illegal gold-mining.
The documentary aims to capture both the spectacular landscapes of Roraima's summit, whilst highlighting the pressing conservation needs of this remarkable region. Further more, there will be a world exclusive - the moment Jimmie Angel discovered the legendary Angel Falls in 1933.
The evening will be introduced by Michael Palin and will feature a number of other well known figures within the environmental documentary sphere (Richard Terry, Liz Bonnin, Jamie Crawford).
Ibex Earth is running a special promotion in collaboration with King Lion Media to sell tickets to the screening of the Premiere for the discounted rate of £6.00 (usual price £15.00). Each person who purchases a ticket by noon on Monday 12th September will be entered into a draw to have their screening tickets upgraded to Special Guest VIP Tickets to the pre-premiere drinks reception.
