Map Shows How Climate Change Will Affect US Health

Aug 9, 2011
US Natural Resources Defense Council uses existing data to predict the affects of climate change on health throughout North America.

The NRDC is a not-for-profit organisation that has launched a map to predict the affects of climate change in the US.

You can zoom into states or areas and see the likelihood of specific threats to health, flooding, drought, air pollution, extreme heat and infectious diseases occurring in that region.

Online mapping is increasingly being used to track environmental changes and pollution levels by scientists and members of the public alike.

NRDC is a not-for- profit organisation based in the US and has an estimated 1.3 million supporters around the world and offices throughout the US and in Beijing, China.
