Colin Firth's wife Livia Giuggioli raised the profile of eco-friendly fashion ahead of the PEA Awards 'Green Oscars' by wearing an up-cycled dress to the official Oscars last week.

She made the decision to do a Green Carpet Challenge by wearing ethical garments to all of the big awards ceremonies.

The ethical frock she wore to celebrate her husband winning the Best Actor Oscar was made from eleven dresses that designer Gary Harvey had collected from vintage, thrift and charity shops across south-east London.

Part of the dress was made from tatty tea dresses bought from London shop 360 Degrees Vintage. Gary paid £600 for a selection from the Greenwich boutique and up-cycled them by turning them into a red carpet worthy gown.
