Jewellery doesn't have to cost the earth

Feb 25, 2011
Louise Kamara's new jewellery collection use old sunglasses and prescription lenses to combine ethics with stylish design

The founder of London's Eco Design Fair and Curator of sustainable design at Vintage Festival, comes a range of limited edition jewellery to compliment the Barbican Gallery's exhibition.

The range is inspired by New York's 1970s Downtown Scene and reflects the era's taste for bold design statements in the face of the economic crisis.

It's handmade in London from discarded sunglasses and prescription lenses en route to landfill and each piece is unique.

It will be available exclusively at the Barbican Art Gallery Shop.
