A bushfire swept across Western Australia this weekend destroying over 40 homes and injuring several people
The bushfire that hit the north and south-east of Perth on Saturday has damaged 19 homes and destroyed 41 others according to Australian authorities.
"The pleasing thing is that there's been no serious injuries or fatalities" said chief operations officer, Craig Hynes.
The fires come just as Australia's east coast recovers from the major cyclone that hit Queensland last week and the flooding which covered Queensland and southern Victoria.
