The new eco-friendly milk bottle made from papier mache may be coming to a store near you

The GreenBottle keeps milk fresh by having a paper shell with a removable plastic lining and unlike plastic bottles the paper shell can be recycled up to seven times.

The eco-invention has had a trial run in East Anglian ASDA stores and will soon be found in ASDA stores up and down the country.

The inventor, Martin Myerscough came up with the idea by looking at his son's school project- a papier-mache balloon.

Plastic milk bottles like these might soon become a thing a of the past
