Open Planet wanted ideas on how to use technology to make the most of our planet's resources and have now chosen their winner
Open Planet Ideas asked innovative members of the public to come up with ways of using technology to shape a cleaner, more sustainable planet.
After 329 inspirations, 400 concepts, 8 final concepts and 3 finalists the winner has been announced.
The winner is Greenbook, an online magazine for a green-minded community where the reader is the Hero. News will be local and based on the reader's location so it will inspire participation in projects close to where they live. There will be lots of interaction between members but the news is intended to encourage individuals to actively help their local environment.
