Sir David Attenborough gets lifetime achievement Green Award
Despite severe weather conditions, last week's Green Awards were a huge success and included the first ever lifetime achievement award
The Green Awards honoured Sir David Attenborough with its first lifetime Achievement Award for all of his great work for the biodiversity cause.

The awards were a ‘green carpet’ event hosted at the Natural History Museum.
Sir David Attenborough is Britain’s best loved naturalist, with more than 50 years of broadcast experience especially through the BBC Life series. It would not be wrong to label him as the leading authority on nature and wildlife, and an inspiration to generations of documentary film makers.

His pan-global outlook towards biodiversity and sustainability made him the best choice for the Green Awards inaugural ‘Green Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Green Awards 2010.
Another inaugural Eco Awards Ceremony is taking place at the National Geographic store in London next March called the People and Environment Achievement Awards and nominations are still being accepted. Visit peaawards.com for details.
